Jo Hannah Afton: Losing It All Creates an Opportunity to Follow Her Dream
As a fresh college graduate, Jo's Hollywood dream ended before it began, and soon after she entered the traditional 9-to-5 grind. Through the twists of life, Jo became an entrepreneur and real estate investor in Florida.
The housing crash of 2008 left Jo bankrupt, but an opportunity in Brazil looked promising. When that opportunity fell apart, Jo ended up living in a surf shack trying to figure out life. The Hollywood dream never really left her, and she began writing. Her first movie ran this summer, and she's now telling the stories of marginalized and disenfranchised.
